What is PayPerLive?

PayPerLive is a subscription service enabling its professional users a reliable high definition platform to stream their free shows and ticketed events. PayPerLive offers all that you would come to expect from a professional platform, such as high priority technical support, wide screen streaming, your own cluster of servers enabling you to stream to as many people as you can attract. PayPerLive relieves your stress and worries of problems that you may find on other streaming platforms.

How do I create an account?

Its simple. If you’re a Stickam member, sign in with your Stickam ID. If not, click sign up and fill out some general information to get started.

Do I get to use my own domain name?

Yes, you can either purchase a new domain name or if you already own one easily point it to your Payperlive account. As an option, we can also provide a free sub-domain for you to use (http://username.payperlive.com).

Do I need to know HTML or CSS to design my website?

No, we have included a website designer. Just pick some colors and fonts, upload a banner and background image and you're set. We currently are making changes to layouts and adding features so we are not allowing custom CSS. We would hate for you to spend a lot of time designing your site with custom CSS for us to make a change that will break your design. Until we allow custom CSS, please contact us for any specific customizations that you require.

How do I contact my users?

PayPerLive allows you to keep in contact with all of your loyal fans and customers. From within your control panel you can send email updates to keep all of your subscribers up to date.

Can I charge for my live streaming events?

With PayPerLive you can sell tickets for your own pay-per-view events. You decide the ticket price, number of tickets, and kind of tickets you want to sell, then create an event, go live, and get paid!

Why would I be interested in using this service?

Is there any integration with Stickam.com?

Yes, when you go live on Stickam.com a PayPerLive icon will appear next to your name wherever you are on Stickam.com. For example, if you are on the Live Streams page, the Rankings page, in someone's room or chat room, you will always have a PayPerLive icon next to your name.

What is the "Community feature"?

This feature offered by PayPerLive enables artists to construct fan networks under their own domain names. The platform brings entertainers closer to fans through premium live chats, exclusive online concerts, fan chats, and other paid events.

Is Community part of PayPerLive?

Yes, it is provided to you as a feature of the original PayPerLive service and offered to Platinum and Custom account holders. The service incorporates all of the standard PayPerLive features and functionality into the live community of fans.

How do I sign up as a host for a PayPerLive Community account?

You sign up the same way you would for a standard PayPerLive account via http://payperlive.com/plans, and follow the steps to create a Platinum, or request a Custom account.

What kind of subscription service can I as a host offer my community?

As a host, you will have the option of creating "freemium (free+premium)" or "premium-only" subscription pricing. Premium subscriptions are available for you to offer as monthly, quarterly, or yearly billing cycles and you have the freedom to name each tier as you like (i.e. Gold, Platinum, VIP, etc.).

Are tickets I sell to live events separate from my subscription offerings?

Yes, the tickets you create for live paid streaming events are sold separately and not included in any tired subscription plan. We do have plans to make it possible for you to group both media and ticketed events in your subscription plans which we will be available in the near future.

How does a fan become a member of my Community?

There will be a link on your homepage labeled "join", from which anyone can sign up for a membership. Also, in order for them to access certain events and media you designate under the plans, they will be prompted to sign up for an account and choose a plan from the tiers you have created.

Any additional features you are working on to complement the Community service?

Of course. We are hard at work at soon providing community hosts with the ability to sell side-camera slots, digital items such as music files, offering Video On Demand, Fan Forums, and creating a point system for fans to buy and redeem various items through the sites.

Requirements

What are the minimum technical requirements?

An internet connection and a browser with a recent version of Macromedia Flash Player installed. DSL or T1 broadband is not required, but it is strongly recommended.

Pricing and Support

How much does it cost?

PayPerLive has 3 different subscription services available; Silver, Gold, and Platinum. The one you choose is up to you depending on what your demands are. For additional information on choosing a service click here.

What happens if I exceed the maximum bandwidth in a month?

If you exceed the maximum allotted bandwidth within your plan, you will be notified by us and given the choice to either continue using the service or freeze your account until the following month. If you choose to continue using the service you will be required to pay an overage fee for the excess bandwidth used that month.

Do I get any kind of support?

Yes, you will be provided with priority email support. We know that doing a professional stream sometimes has hiccups along the way; any problem that does arise will be handled with the utmost importance. Each PayPerLive subscription also includes phone support. There will be times when you need guidance or troubleshooting-we’re here for you.

Is there a contract term?

Yes. PayPerLive’s subscription service is a month-to-month contract between you, the user and PayPerLive.

Can I cancel my service at anytime?

Yes. You are free to cancel your service anytime as long as you are aware that you will be billed for the month you cancel regardless of the cancellation date.

Are there termination fees?

No. We require you to pay no cancellation fee for terminating your service. Please refer to our cancellation policy located in the TOS.
